Benitez prepared to sell Crouch

LIVERPOOL, England(AP) Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is prepared to sell England striker Peter Crouch for 15 million pounds (US$29.4 million; 19.1 million).

Crouch has started just nine of Liverpool's 37 Premier League matches despite being the club's leading scorer in all competitions last season, and has been linked with a transfer away from the club.

Benitez has preferred record signing Fernando Torres up front and said Thursday that Crouch could leave in the offseason.
